Day1 – Welcome to Romania
After the arrival at the Bucharest Airport, you will be welcomed by our guide and transferred to your hotel. On the way to the hotel, you will first have a short tour of the city by car (subject to the flight schedule), seeing from the outside some of the most important sites of Romania’s capital: the Old City Centre, the Parliament Palace (the world’s largest civilian administrative building and the second-largest building in the world after the United States’ Pentagon) and the Romanian Atheneum (Romania’s most famous concert hall).

Day2 – First day away from Bucharest (approx. 320 km)
Breakfast in the hotel and departure through the picturesque Olt Valley to Curtea de Arges – the first capital city of Wallachia. Here you will visit the Municipal Museum, the Royal Court and the very famous Monastery from Curtea de Arges – one of the greatest from all the orthodox churches, the burial place of Romania’s royal family and the place where one of national myth was born – the myth of creation. You will find out at the site more about it and the legend of Manole’s wife, Ana who is said to have been built alive in one of the cathedral’s walls by her husband. Our journey continues to Sibiu. During the summer, we will choose the Transfagarasan Road – described by the Top Gear team as “the most amazing road we’ve ever seen“. You will be excited by the Balea glacial lake, the Balea waterfall, the magnificent Vidraru dam, or the Vidraru lake, with a length of 23 km. If you are travelling between June and September, the Transfagarasan road is an absolute must – an amazing and unforgettable experience.
Arrival and accommodation in Sibiu .
Day 3 – Sibiu & the Medieval Cities (approx. 210 Km )
Breakfast in Sibiu – a very charming medieval town located in Transylvania and the European Capital of Culture in 2007.
Guided walking tour of the beautiful city and drive on to Sighisoara, one of the best preserved medieval town in Romania and birthplace of Vlad the Impaler (“Dracula”). In Sighisoara, visit the medieval citadel (the “Upper Town”): the Clock Tower, the Church on the Hill, the Weapons Museum and the Torture Room. Lunch in a local restaurant (optional) and departure to Brasov – one of the largest medieval towns in Transylvania.

Day4 – Welcome to Brasov. Dracula’s Castle and Peles (approx. 210 km )
Early breakfast and departure to Bran for visiting the Castle of Dracula.
The journey will continue towards the “pearl of the Carpathians” – Sinaia. Here we will be visiting the Peles Castle – former summer residence of the Royal family and have lunch in a local restaurant in Sinaia.
After lunch, next stop will be at the Sinaia monastery.
In the evening we will head back to Bucharest.
Day5 – Departure day
After breakfast, depending on your departure flight, you will have time at leisure. You will then be transferred to the airport in time for your return flight.
